What People Are Saying!

I'm so grateful Sam offers this service! A few minutes into her "Day in the life" ID videos on YouTube was enough to let me know that she was a welcoming edtech leader with so much valuable information to share. As a transitioning teacher, cold networking on job boards can be daunting as it is something I am not used to and not all people respond to my messages. I also wanted more insight on Instructional Design and how to land jobs in this field. So when I discovered that I could met with her, I immediately booked a meeting!

Her friendly and welcoming tone made it easy to communicate with her. Sam provided job clarity and gave me tips for my resume. She also gave me tips on how to move into part-time roles and even shared a couple of part-time job postings too! I am so glad I had a chance to meet with her. Highly recommend :D

Career transitions are hard! But Sam made this daunting task achievable by breaking down the process into actionable steps. She did a thorough job reviewing my resume and providing meaningful feedback. I wasn’t sure how to best talk about my experience in education but Sam showed me how to showcase my skills in a way that would be most attractive to potential employers.

Very grateful for her help and look forward to working with her again soon!

I just wanted to say thank you!  I came across your video on a day in the life of an instructional designer, and then in looking in the description for what I hoped would be an example of your blog of what you shared in your “year of learning”, I found your website/blog.  It is exactly the simplified, straightforward, list of guidelines and expectations I was looking for as I begin my journey out of education into what I hope is instructional design.  I have just started to get more involved in LinkedIn and honestly, it’s overwhelming, many different recommendations of advice on what to do, what not to do.  Your method was clear, and concise, and gives me confidence that I have the skills, I just need to focus on how to best convey them :)
